Our First Home

Even though we have been married for over two years, Kevin and I have never really had our first "home" so to speak. We have been living in the condo we bought when we married, but it feels rather like an apartment and not a home. So, we have finally taken the plunge, and we are right in the middle of buying a home! We are waiting on all the finalities at the moment, but we are so excited and looking forward to moving day.The house we are buying is 105 years old! It was built in 1901 and has all the charm of an old southern home. It will be a bit of a labor of love, but we are more than thrilled to spend time making it our very own. From the rose bushes to the wrap around porch, this house says welcome home! It has all the orignial charm still in tact and a claw foot tub for late night soaks! Here is the picture that we first saw when we were looking for a home. It is a bit rough, but it has not been lived in for almost a year. As we move in and make it ours, I will be sure to post the updates!

Puppy Love

Our labs, Duke and Cocoa, had their first litter of puppies about six weeks ago. They are just about ready to be placed in their new homes. We have really enjoyed being puppy parents, and we will miss our six little chocolate fur balls we have come to love. We will be keeping one of the pups, and we haven't decided on a name. The puppy we are keeping is dark chocolate (as they all are) but he has four white feet and a white belly. Any suggestions on names? These are some pictures of the puppies today.
