Tah da!

After much begging and pleading I was finally able to coax my lovely wife into a side profile shot with the camera. What started as a little pudge is now becoming more and more evident. This an exciting time as we watch and see the baby grow. Leah is almost 17 weeks. The sickness has lightened somewhat and from my understanding it is becoming more tolerable. Thanks for the prayers.

This is a snapshot of our current kids. As you can see, Cocoa is very photogenic whereas Mojo has not quite got the concept of "CHEESE" yet. Cocoa weighed in at 40lbs. Sunday. Mojo weighed in at 60lbs.

I cleaned the ducks from the weekend and Cocoa, Mojo and myself enjoyed a marvelous duck dinner prepared my own personal redheaded chef. Although she could not partake in the duck feast, she managed to sneak a bite to get a taste. Good times!

Outer Banks

This weekend my fellow cousins and I took a little duck hunting trip to the Outer Banks. We spent most of the day out on the ocean and had a great hunt. This picture here is of cousin Lance (aka - smooth) holding his first confirmed kill. Lucky for him it was drake redhead. That was quite a duck for his first.

I was not quite as lucky to kill the fabulous redhead, but I did manage to kill my share of bluebills.

Shaun (aka slick) also held his own with the bluebills.

This was the blind we sat in most of the day. My fellow hunters here decked out in their duck commader camoflauge.
We had a great trip. We saw well over 15,000 ducks and managed to kill our legal limit just before sunset. We hope to continue the tradtion of Outer Banks duck hunting in the future.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! Once again we have fallen behind on keeping our blog fresh. Time always seems to pass so quickly since our last post. We had a great Christmas and New Year. We spent Christmas at the Broach's this year. The whole great family submerged in the gift of giving. It was a grand time.

This year we decided to stay home for New Years. Our tradition had become a trip to Ohio to ring in the new year with the Chamberlins. With Momma Broach great with child, 10 hours in the Explorer did not seem like much fun. We made the most of our time off and worked on our lovely house(mildy coughing to disguise myself boldly saying money pit). Its really not that bad. We have made drastic improvements in the kitchen. Leah and I both had ten days off. It was just glorious.

I left out a bunch of important stuff. Leah will not be happy that I was not as detailed as she would have been. Maybe that will encourage her to write!! :)
I've got to go for now.......New pictures coming soon!
