Almost 3 weeks

The challenges of being parents are finally setting in. Leah has taken most of the hits. She has been a true warrior. Her desire to be the best mom, and her desire to keep me awake long enough to drive to Columbia in the morning has transcended all challenges. Being gone most of the day is sad for me. Knowing that Leah and Jackson get to hang out all day is awesome to me, yet somewhat sad. We are praying God will provide a way for me to be closer to home. To be gone about 9 hours rather than 12 or 13 would be very nice. So to all you folks who haven't been praying, you can start now! Things are going well all in all. Leah and Jackson are doing well. Its neat to seem him grow. Its cool to watch the new expressions. Today I was reminded of how babies do not have a past. Much like when we're saved we are babes in Christ, the past is forgotten....already paid for. Its a really neat thought. Its also funny sometimes how different analogies mean different things to you at different times in your life. Enough rambling, here come the latest out of the Jackson file.

Updates

Things have been going great here in the Broach household. Jackson is adapting well. He mostly sleeps and eats with an occasional playtime. He is about a week and a half old. He has been such a joy to have. Life is different, but definitely for the better. Leah is doing great. She is handling all of this like a true pro. New days bring new adventures, new expressions, and exciting events. Every action seems as though it is something we have never seen before. We hope this will continue as we do our best to raise the little one.

Settling In

The pictures are really spaced out so keep scrolling!

Nanna and Jackson

Papa and Jackson

The last few days have been the most exciting few days for me in quite some time. There are many days that you capture in your memory as life goes on. The last few days for me will forever be etched on the forefront of my mind. The beauty and miracle of life is something that one could not even begin to describe. Many times before July 12 I was asked if I was ready to be a dad, and many tried to explain what it would be like. Sorry, but I could not begin to describe it. So rather than boring you with some poor analogy, I'll get to the part you really want to see which are the pictures. Leah and Jackson are both doing well. We thank God for a healthy baby! Enjoy the pics!
