Leah Marie 28

Tonight we journeyed to Florence for a taste of a family owned restaurant called Percy and Willie's. The reason for going to such a high profile restaurant was due to the fact that a certain young lady got a little bit older. Today we celebrated Leah's birthday. Her first birthday as a mother seemed to be a special treat. Although we thought it would be nice to go out alone, I decided it would be neat for Jackson to come along and be there for his momma's birthday dinner. Dad took over the normal mom chores and kept him situated with lots of puffs and other entertainment. The night went well. Of course after Leah was finished eating she had to have him. We enjoyed a nice family outing, it was a good time. Since Jackson and Leah were both dressed for the party I snapped a few pictures.

The Duck Hunting Beard

This is my rough and tough look. I never like posting pictures of myself, but in this situation is was a must. Its funny what a Carhart toboggan and a beard can do to a man. Another year rolls around and now is the time for the annual duck hunting trip to the Outer Banks. This year cousin Shaun and I made a pact on Dec. 8 that we would not shave our beards until Jan. 19. I understand this is immature and unprofessional, but there are some things in life worth going for..... Since our picture taking has slowly ceased, I decided to take a few today. I took a few with Jackson because he will probably not see me like this very often and it was a Kodak moment. His hair was kind of wild too...as you can see. Life around the Broach household is running smooth. Jackson is six motnhs old today. He learns new tricks everyday and he is such a joy to have. We have been blessed so much. We wish everyone a great week to come. I will post comments and pictures from the trip when I return next week.
