Yes, we are still alive! We have had a few distractions that have interrupted our recent posts. First, we have a little munchkin that is moving about quite swiftly now, and also I have been playing church softball for a church here in
Hartsville. As summer comes into full swing and things heat up here in the south, it seems as though our lives ramp up with the seasons. Jackson is the center of our little home world. For those of you whom we have let down, he is growing, walking, and talking. The talking is
gibberish, but hey he knows what he means. It is hard for me to believe that in about a month he will be a year old. My how time flies. His red hair has remained. He's
rockin about 20 lbs., and looks a lot his is grandpa. He is still not very fond of his pop-pa. My dad gets him for about 42 seconds before he breaks into an all out temper tantrum. He does well with my mom, but many times he will pick his grandpa over me as well. These days he has become a
mommas boy. He loves his momma. That is fine with me......for now!! He is something else to watch and he is the joy of our lives. Leah and myself are doing well. With the rising costs we are still very fortunate that Leah had been able to stay home with Jackson and be there for him during these crucial days of infancy. I am still putting along with my job, trying to put food on the table and cool air in the house. The Lord has been faithful to provide for us and for that we are grateful. I have finished my softball season with
Lakeview and we begin tournaments on the 16
th. This has been a refreshing time for me. Competition can be good and bad for me. It always brings out the
strengths and weaknesses. I have made new friends that can encourage me and allow me to do the same for them.
Church life is good. Leah has her own
Sunday school class. She teaches the teen class. This is a great opportunity for her to reach out to our teens and gives her the interaction she needs. Her days are filled with hours of baby, so this works good for her. She also plays the keyboard for our services, and sings specials from time to time. I have had the opportunity to lead worship since the first of the year. During our search for a pastor I was asked to help out. We recently promoted our associate pastor to our pastor and I have been able to continue leading. I enjoy leading worship
because it sets the tone for the entire service. Early questions about where the Lord needed us have been answered and he has plugged us in sufficiently right where we are. That is what we prayed for....to be allowed to use the talents he has blessed us with. So once again the Lord has proved faithful. All is well at the Broach camp. We will do our best to keep up and post a little more often.
