Maybe a sign of things to come??

I'm not quite sure where Jackson dug up this old gamecock wig, but I have to admit it was pretty hilarious to see him wearing it. He does have red hair, maybe it is a sign of things to come.

Tonight I sit and write barely able to hold my eyes open. Although it is only Monday, the week has already been long. Here are a few pcitures we took this weekend of Jackson. His new favorite thing is to ride in his wagon that was given to him by a man from church. The pictures will have to be sufficient for tonight. I hope all is well out there!!

My First Birthday

Unfortunately the pictures are loaded backwards so you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. Jackson's first birthday party was quite the party. There were all sorts of things going on. It was quite unusual that a child's first birthday party be a swimming party but it turned out rather well. Pictures will do no justice to the cake eating portion of the party, but I tried to capture what I could. He had cake everywhere. The party started with some hotdogs off the old grill. After some hotdogs and a little while to digest them everyone jumped in the pool to cool down. Then we sang Happy Birthday and let Jackson tear into his own cake. This was the best part. I do believe he made himself miserable eating all that cake. After that Grammy(I think that is what she is going by now) hosed him off with the water hose. We commenced to swim for a little longer and then we opened all the presents. It was a great deal of fun and I hope everyone that came had as much fun as we did. I know we enjoyed everyones company. He retired for the afternoon under a self made tent by mommy. Unfortunately Jackson awakened Sunday with a fever and has not felt very well since, but he is making positive progress throughout the day today. Here are the pictures I promised.

The Dance

The countdown is on. At 1:10 p.m. tomrrow Jackson will officially be one year old. In honor of his one year birthday we decided to post a video of Jackson doing a little dance and he even throws a little clap in there near the end. I will post pictures from the party. I can assure you there will be some good stuff on here tomorrow or the next day.

My Hero

The 4th of July

Normally we try to venture out on my days off since I don't get very many days, but we decided to stay home for the fourth. We took in some fireworks, did a little swimming, watched the race, worked on our lovely house and so on. This was good weekend for rest and we found ourselves being very lazy. It was really nice. We have been consistently in a construction zone with our house pretty much since we moved here. We are making some headway and hope to be able to do the finishing touches here shortly. Jackson is the man. He is doing really well and just having a ball. So many things are changing so fast. He will be one year old this Saturday. WOW!! It is a little surreal. I posted these pictures after many struggles with the camera. I finally figured out how to make them the right size to download them in a minimal amount of time. Thats all for now but I will be sure to post some pictures from Jacksons first party!
